Our Response to COVID-19

Tablet Cleaning Instructions:
Before starting, ensure your device is powered down, remove accessories, and unplugged from any power sources. Remove any cases, covers, or accessories.
• A soft, lint-free microfiber cleaning cloth is ideal for cleaning your tablet. You may also use an eyeglass lens cleaning cloth. These are non-abrasive and will not damage your device.
• Gently wipe the down the tablet with the cloth. Do not apply too much pressure.
• You may also use a disinfectant, such as hypochlorous acid-based solution (containing 50-80ppm) or an alcohol-based solution (containing more than 70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol). Do not apply these solutions directly to your device. They should be applied carefully with a microfiber cloth instead.
• Do not use spray bleach or other household cleaning products.

A message from our CEO:

To All Controltec Customers:

Our management team is monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19), which the WHO declared a pandemic yesterday.

First and foremost, I want to state that the well being of our customers and our employees and their families are our top priority.

Our infrastructure is set up so we can quarantine ourselves and largely work from home without undue impact on our general operations and on our public-facing systems.

All systems are virtualized, and we have confirmed that our VPN can handle the load of the entire company working remotely, should that become necessary. Our phone system is virtualized, and all staff, including all support staff, can access all features of our phone system from their laptops and their smart phones. This is crucial for our support capability.

All customer-facing systems are completely virtualized and redundant. We do not need physical access to maintain them.

Some of our team travels. This is mostly restricted to management and executives. They have been instructed to minimize their travel to only top priorities.

Our employees are being briefed on safety practices and have been encouraged to work from home if anyone exhibits any symptoms to minimize risk.

We have created an internal task force to monitor the threat and adjust our response.

We are adapting our disaster recovery plans for our large deployments. They already have a pandemic section, but those are now being expanded and specificity is being added.

Overall, being a virtualized company, we can fully operate with all employees working from home, should that become necessary.

We will keep you updated as we adjust further.
